Accommodation At Chimoyo Game Ranch

Hunters and their companions are accommodated in the rustic Hunters camp which consists of 5 canvas tents, erected on wooden decks and surrounded by many square kilometers of virgin bush. In African hunting terms, this camp best fits the description of a comfortable and well designed fly camp. Other facilities include two thatched bathrooms, a pantry with fridge/freezer, cupboards and shelves. A thatched open rondavel serves as kitchen cum dining area. A barbeque area and lapa complete this fly camp. All linen, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are provided.

Hunters and their guests can either cater for themselves or we can offer you a fully catered option where scrumptious meals are prepared by our resident chef. A daytime camp attendant ensures the smooth operation and cleanliness of your camp whilst you enjoy your hunting safari in the bush.

Should our fly camp be inadequate for your needs, you have the option to stay in the beautifully restored hunting camp and lodge which is centrally situated on the border of the eastern and western sections of Chimoyo Game Ranch. This lodge offers an array of amenities like TV, swimming pool, lounge, two dining areas, bar and cosy fire-place for those chilly winter nights.

Four thatched chalets each with en-suite bathroom, romantic outside shower, ceiling fan, mini-bar and coffee/tea station are situated privately but within easy walking distance of the main building. Scrumptious cuisine prepared by our resident chef complements your daily safari.

Daily Fees and Accommodation

You have the option of doing your own catering or choosing the fully catered option.

Fully catered:

A qualified chef is available and able to provide a fully catered option at R1650-00 (excl VAT) per person per day which includes brunch and a three course dinner as well as all juices, coffees and teas.

Self-Catering:

Daily fees for Tented camp R400-00 (excl. VAT) and Hunter’s Lodge R650-00 (excl. VAT).
The following conditions apply and services are included for both options:

• Use of a 4 x 4 Hunting vehicle for drop-off and retrieval of hunters and animals.
• Qualified and experienced hunting guides.
• Day time camp attendant and cleaning services.
• Use of Cool Room and Skinning Facilities.
• Skinning and gutting of your animal.

Other Conditions:

• Minimum reservations of 4 people for at least three nights per group apply.
• The applicable accommodation fee must be received into the following bank account as confirmation of your reservation. Mention your name and date of visit as reference, for example, Brown July 4-10.
